Yes, Riverdale is the great exception. I had a friend who lived there and taught at Horace Mann and another who also used to teach there--took the number 1 train everyday from Tribeca. Most people don't even know that Riverdale is in the Bronx. I am sure there are other good areas. My late friend Barry, the one who lived there, used to do a great impersonation of two ladies doing the "Grand Concourse Schlep." He could also recite "Friends, Romans, countrymen" with a Brooklyn accent, a Queens accent and a Bronx accent to demonstrate the differences.

Even so, very few people not living in the Bronx would journey there to meet up with an escort. I traveled to Brooklyn to do that once, but it was Park Slope.

YES there are lovely sections true but FEW who advertise on RM or BPage live THERE

One of the funniest lines in American literature is by Ring Lardner in The Big Town. Visiting NY for the first time, father and son find themselves wandering around the Bronx.

"Father, are we lost?," I asked tenderly.

"Shut up!," he explained.

Thanks for the reminder! Much of S.J. Perelman and several other masters all flows from Ring.

It's worth noting that Rentmen has posted a negative review on his page. (I presume that this is the same reviewer)

Quite a few other sites which rely on ad revenue from service providers won't publish negative reviews, so I applaud Rentmen, at least for now.

That's interesting. When Rentmen 1st started with reviews a year or so ago, they weren't publishing negative reviews. They had a notice that since they were just starting with the reviews they didn't want negative ones. They said that they would hold a negative review. Then if the escort received several, they would contact the escort and ask him whether he would prefer to discontinue his ad or have the bad reviews published.

IF they are indeed willing the publish negative as well as positive reviews, this already steady customer of the site will happily become a VERY steady user (as well as enthusiastic fan) of the site..... what a great business model!
