If you think it's so easy to get gun laws changed, again, press your Dem politicians to do so. Then see if they retain their seats. I'm on my phone right now, but when I get home, I can post links about what happened to the Colorado politicians who tried to enact stricter gun control (hint: it didn't go well).

 

As for a constitutional amendment, wow, good luck with that. The ERA passed overwhelmingly in the House (354-24) and in the Senate (84-8). Both parties included it in their platforms, and three presidents (Nixon, Ford & Carter) supported it. It was quickly ratified in 30 (of the 38 necessary) state legislatures. All that support, yet the ERA still didn't pass. If you think you have a snowball's chance in Hades of ratifying a constitutional amendment to nullify the 2nd Amendment, go for it!! I'll kick back & enjoy the Democratic Party's mass self-destruction.

In the past SEVEN DAYS a cop here was shot dead a legal gun owner accidentally shot his baby a road rager accidentally shot dead a little boy and in The Bronx a 16 year old girl making dinner for her fam was shot dead by a stray bullet thru their window. If enough PEOPLE get sick of this shit things will change and that's happening. Ima sure if you told my two old neighbors who've been together since they were 20 who went to jail for holding hands and sneaking a kiss in Washington Sq Park that they'd see the day when a politician with a pro gay marriage platform could get elected they'd have said neva' gonna happen too.
