Online Dating Guidelines for Personal Info

I'm venturing onto match.com, okcupid, and chemistry.com. I've been chatting with a few guys and asking/answering basic questions: what do you do, favorite food/color/ music, etc.

 

Now one guy asked me a series of questions - most of which are routine. But he asked for my full name and birthdate. Red flags rose.

 

He uses a full name and claims to be a soldier deployed abroad.

 

I think full names and birth dates should wait until we actually meet? Am I being too paranoid?
