If you go to rentboy.com you'll be redirected to www.seizedserver.com, where you'll see an image saying the domain has been seized by Homeland Security. I don't think that's an official notice. I think the DNS record has been modified by an activist. If you check the registration of the domain seizedserver.com, you'll see that it's owned by an individual. The address listed is a condo, not an office building. And the registrant email address is a private account at Georgetown University.

Anybody know what's going on here?

I am glad you asked.

There is a lot of info at this link:

Terrible what has happened to our freedoms.

There is so much traffic at that link. Try copying the link in a new browser.

EDIT - The link is correct. I click on it here from the forum and it will not load. But if I copy the link and paste it in a new page, the link opens. There is a lot of information at that page.

Thank you! I've been wondering why the technical background hadn't all been assembled in a single document. This is a good description of the network configuration issues. Very simple to implement and not the same as seizing a domain or servers.

I still don't understand why seizedserver is owned by an individual rather than a corporation or governmental entity. That's why I thought we might be looking at hacktivism.

Note: the original link posted shows that, for some reason, when you posted it, "htt" is not in the live link. That's why if you copy it and paste it in a browser, it works then, because the "htt" is then a part of the link. Sorry if this isn't a very clear explanation. :(
