Hey guys. Looks like I'm going to be in Tampa at the end of April. Anybody know much about the area? Good bars? Gay beach? Talented boys? I actually lived there in the 80's but of course it's a whole new place now. Thanks for any info you might have. :9

Baxter's Bar on So. Dale Mabry and Neptune -- gogo boys, fair priced drinks, big on Fridays and Saturdays.

Metropolis: West Kennedy around Himes, dance club crowded on weekends. Gogo dancers too.

2202 Leather/demin bar -- never been

Valentine's: North Armenia Ave, drag and gogo boys, also latino nights, 2 for 1 drinks etc. very popular

Chambers in downtown Tampa if still open. dance drag and gogo boys

KIKIKI III: 1900 block of W Kennedy Blvd. Cheap draft beer. Protypical low class hustler bar. Use care in what you pick up and dont pay beforehand--- it goes up their nose. Dress code as posted on premises: Four Tooth Minimum. You have been warned.

A number of places in St Pete/Clearwater including Oar House and Lost Boys. Check out gaytampa.com and TLW, a local gay rag for venues.

Cant say much about the boys -- most not my type, the others seem to be of questionable reputation. One exception: Sexy jay (see reviews) hot versatile asian/american mix. Been on my radar screen a long time but I dont do $250/hr. I recenlty saw that his rates have dropped to $200 and he does incalls now. Another option is to import from Orlando.

Good luck.

Wow, the KiKiKi has been there in one form or another since the 70's and you gave a great description of it! Think I'll skip it. Baxter's sounds great for when I fly in on Friday night. I think I'm staying at a hotel on Westshore for the weekend. That should be close. I appreciate the info. Anything close to a older men and working boys bar?

Not too far.

Sadly, not that I am aware of.

Older crowds are usually found at City Side Bar, it is on Henderson Blvd. near Dale Mabry (U.S. 92). It is more of a happy hour bar, but will find good crowds there later also, but the crowd does start to thin around 10 PM.
