I'll be in Washington DC this weekend and would like some info on area gyms. I always have a hard time with DC area gyms that accept out of town visitors. I've used Results in the past but it's pricy for one time visitors (and it's not that nice for the price they want). Can anyone recommend a Dupont Circle area gym that has a reasonable guest fee?

Thanks.

I am not really sure what the guest fees are at most gyms in DC. But, if you want a gym with a nice swimming pool (25 meters), weights, running/elliptical machines, racquetball courts, an actual gymnasium, etc., then you should try the National Capital YMCA on 17th and Rhode Island. It also has just the right mix of gay and straight guys so it isn't quite as queeny as Results but there are definitely some friends of Dorothy hanging out.

If the Y doesn't interest you, the only other gyms I would suggest are the Washington Sports Club ones. There are a bunch all over DC and seem to be pretty decent. But, they mostly have weights and machines, no pool or other fun stuff.
