He really has put it all out there. He issued an encyclical on climate change characterizing it as being the result of man's behavior (including the misuse of resources and inequitable consumption) and the absolute need to alter this behavior. He also very recently chastised the manufacturers of weapons and those who invested in weapons manufacturing (http://news.yahoo.com/pope-says-weapons-manufacturers-cant-call-themselves-christian-184139430.html) He has also criticized the World War II Allied forces failure to destroy the railway system used to transports Jews, gays, gypsies and others to their deaths even though the Allies knew that it was happening. He also criticized Stalin's persecution of Christians. Finally, he has spotlighted the massacre of large numbers of Armenians (probably over a million) by Turkey during World War I and called such actions a genocide. I hope he gets himself a good number of body guards. It is dangerous to tell the truth.

I like him for all that you mention. However I'm not too fond of his actions towards us. His statements remind me of Shrub Bush's Compassionate Conservatism. In my opinion the main thing that was compassionate was his tone of voice when he talked about these subjects. His policies never actually changed.

I'd like him a lot more if he opened the doors of the Vatican's storehouses of art that hasn't been seen for centuries, and sold the art in the museums. The stuff is worth billions. Think of the good that could be done with that!

Going along with that supposedly the Vatican has lots of Jewish artifacts plundered over the centuries. If they really have them,
