One thread says too many twinks, now too many thugs...Backpage is not for everyone....If you have issues with it, then it's best to just stay away.

 

Last week I viewed a documentary on one of my television channels which featured female escorts being busted for prostitution after advertising on "backpage." Nothing was there about men. It, the program, included Craigslist having abandoned its escort ads in their entirety. The latter occurred a few years back.

 

I'd stay away if I had concerns about being charged and/or arrested for engaging in sexual activities with a guy who'd advertised on backpage and in that particular city there had been police stings.

Except - if it was the (female) *escorts* being busted, not the johns, it seems to me I'd be less concerned about hiring someone. If we knew the stings were going the other way too (fake escort ads used to trap johns) it would be different. Though of course, yes, you never know.

I haven't read anything current about male escorts and their "johns" being busted. What I have read more of lately is that feds are going after female escorts and their male johns. Females (and young girls) are the ones most frequently exploited by human sex traffickers and that's their focus now.
