Will be heading to Dallas for business the first part of June. What is there to do in Dallas. Anyone from there that knows where to stay, what the night life is there? thanks,

It depends on what you are interested in. The gay section of town is called Oak Lawn. There are multiple gay clubs there although there are some in areas near it. The biggest club is probably The Round-Up Saloon on Cedar Springs. It's a C&W Bar. There are some dance and karaoke places near it. The Dallas Eagle is about 10 minutes away from Cedar Springs.

Dallas has a lot of good restaurants that will satisfy most mainstream tastes.

If you like amusement parks-the original Six Flags is about an 45 minutes outside of Dallas depending on where in Dallas you start from (the city of Dallas and its surrounding burbs-The Metroplex is very large).

If you like art, there is the Nasher Sculpture Center downtown as well other museums. Ft Worth has a well-known modern art museum The Ammon Carter.

If you like history, The Book Depository downtown is about Kennedy's assassination.

One thing-if you have a choice, most of downtown Dallas is dead at night. A better place to stay is Market Center or in Oak Lawn. Also you'll need a car or plan to take Uber or something. Dallas' mass transit while better than it used to be is not very comprehensive when compared to the East Coast or Chicago.
