Sofia Vergara is finally discussing her feelings on ex-fiancé Nick Loeb’s lawsuit over her frozen embryos, stating that as far as she’s concerned it “makes no sense.”

The two ended their engagement around a year ago, and now, Loeb is suing Vergara over the two female embryos the couple developed when they were still together. Last week Loeb took to the New York Times op-ed section with a piece that explained how he wants to use a surrogate to become a single father.

During an interview with Howard Stern on Monday, Vergara responded to that op-ed, saying that a child “needs a loving relationship of parents that get along, that don’t hate each other.”

“A kid needs parents,” Vergara told Stern. “I wouldn’t imagine anyone saying that it’s sane to bring [into] the world kids that are already set up [with] everything wrong for them. It would be so selfish.” Vergara also argued that Loeb’s plan would put him in breach of a contract they both signed for each embryo.
