Say what you want about her, evolution ain't easy :-) I saw an old TV interview show from the 60's and a elderly EX-President Truman was using the "N" word. Not in a hateful or damning way, but worse to me, in a "casual" way as if THIS was the norm to him and completely acceptable in his mind. Imagine how much THAT guy would have to change if he were still was the leader of our nation since the early 50's??? Because that's how long THIS lady and reigned. Can't be easy to change. (her husband on the other hand I always felt wished we'd go away lol)

The Queen of England thinks gay marriage is 'wonderful'

Well, at least according to newlywed Stephen Fry.

The QI host Saturday (7 February) told The Jonathan Ross Show that Queen Elizabeth II had expressed approval when signing the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act in July 2013.

'It was only last summer that Her Majesty The Queen gave the Royal Assent,' he said.

'When the Queen signed the Royal Assent for the equal marriages act, allowing gay people to marry for the first time, she put it down and said "Well, who’d have thought 62 years ago when I came to the throne, I’d be signing something like this? Isn’t it wonderful?"'

Fry said he was not sure if the story was true – but said it was 'well founded.'

'I am so proud to live in the country where [acceptance] seems to be the absolute majority view,' he said.

The Queen must remain politically neutral and has never spoken publicly about gay marriage.
