I just started back in school to finish my BA. I am thrilled to be back but I am finding myself stretched very thin. Have any of you had experience going back to school later in life? If so did you have any tools or things that you found helpful to juggle work, school and some semblance of a personal life?

I went back to school for a 2nd bachelor's in music at age 57. The first year I worked 3/4 time and tried going to school half time;

the for the subsequent 5, I've been doing full time work, 1/4 time school. Shouldn't be any less stress but it is.

Of course, with a music major, there are lessons and ensembles to practice for. Haven't had much of an outside life ...

A once a week f*** buddy is about it.

The gratification of getting more skilled in doing stuff that is my reward in life has provided the pavlovian impetus :)

I've applied for a master's program for Fall of 2015, and if I get in, I'm going to retire from my day gig and go full time.
