While I am happy with the announcement, I am more content that my Gaydar was working back in the day when I would see him on Broadway, and at other functions, and he gave off very strong feelings that he was very much on the team. I am not at all for outing people and for letting people to live their lives as they see fit, and so I too say BRAVO, Joel -- you have done it your way, and I salute you.

It took him 82 years to fathom up the courage? Well, better late than never.

I had always assumed he was gay, from his excellent performance as the Emcee in Cabaret (the movie). Being gay gives you a leg up on that role, as Alan Cumming confirmed. (Saw him in Cabaret on Broadway and then a few months ago in the revival. REALLY helps to be gay.)

Mostly agree, I saw John Stamos as well as Alan Cumming in the initial revival. Cumming was better, but Stamos interacted with the audience more. I was not disappointed with either actor.
