During my infermity I did have a chance to catch up on daytime tv, and therefore all recent american cultural events. First, it came to my attention that DNA testing has become the saviour of the (anycolor)- trash talk show. We all want to know whose child it is, right?

Second, Ellen makes a good interviewer. She has a decent talk show. Plus, she's in the habit of giving away tons o' free stuff to her studio audience (Ellen de Generous). "$300" worth of cosmetics, plus chocolate tuffles! Are you paying attention, Big Guy?

And third, Trade schools must find daytime TV an incredibly lucrative advertising slot. Especially those seeking the female clientele base. Two separate "colleges" advertised successful programs as "medical assistants" (Nurses?), suggesting none too subliminaly that the gals applying might rope in handsome doctors as husbands!

Of course, i had a 102 degree fever the whole time, so I could've been imagining all of the above, but I don't think so.

Trix - OH MY GOD - I have the same flu, same daytime conclusions. Amazing what we miss on tv isn't it! Mine was 103 and I had to go to emergency room to get loaded up with penicillin to bring it down. (my fever that is)
