The question may have been innocent and well-intended, but it does raise a red flag -- at least for me. I don't know much about physiology, but I might have a highly developed nerve that runs directly from my penis to my heart. I don't happen to have a significant other in my life, so when I'm physical with another man, it can trigger all the normal hormonal stuff, but it can also touch a spot in my heart that wants more. My brain knows full well that the man that I've hired does not love or desire me, but my heart will sometimes rebel. There's always something in me that wants to be liked by the men that I'm with. That's why I love (love!) Juan's reply, "learn to treat escorts with care and respect, show up on time when you said you would, pay in full every time and you will be your escort's favorite person". I read that and think, Hey, I can do that, grey hair and all. That comes second nature to me. Wow, what a great deal!

Now that the dust has more or less settled: While the way in which it was expressed was (at least after the first inquiry) overly confrontational, I completely understand why the OP's bona fides were questioned. The number of inquiry posts made in a short period of time and the content of this one could reasonably raise red flags as to whether the poster was a journalist, law enforcement officer, or some person with an agenda that might be incompatible with the well-being of this forum and the people who frequent it. Lurking at this forum for a week or so before posting or reviewing the past few weeks or months worth of posts would have revealed how sensitive a topic barebacking is. (In fact, it's a controversial issue pretty much anywhere you go in mainstream gay media.) Just take a look at most of the posts about Truvada.

That said, I'd like to point out that by now, it seems clear the OP was merely overenthusiastic and didn't realize how intrusive his rapid-fire sequence of questions in this thread and others might appear to others. I'd also like to point out I took the question seriously and addressed it. So maybe we can all chill out and realize that it's a bad idea to snipe and jump to conclusions -- on all sides.

BTW, ayjaydaddy, just so you know: Like FreshFluff, I'm female. Though there are probably some infrequent posters here who don't know that.
