If the ad specifies "safe sex" or "no bare" (even better), I ask the escort to confirm this. If the ad says nothing, I ask, "Do you prefer to fuck with or without a condom?"

This latter question often gets good information, but it can still be an effort to get the escort to live up to his promises.

Maybe I'm misreading this, but do you mean if they say they prefer it without it's an effort to get them to live up to the promises, or the other way around? Are there guys who say they're safe only, and then offer BB services once you're with them?

Silent on safe sex = invisible condom

I think some BB escorts will list "safe only" because they don't want to turn any potential clients off (those looking for and demanding safe encounters).

If you approach an escort privately by email or in person, or a fortiori if you get to know him after several meetings, some will accept to "forget" the condom, with all the consequences that imply.

I wish there was open, honest and better communication when it comes to safer sex.

Responses I've had:

"I'll fuck you any way you like--with or without."

"Bare is better"

"Only bare."

"I won't cum inside so it's safe."

"I am positive but undetectable."

"I am positive. You decide."

And then the one who said "always safe" and then tried to go in without, "I am too used to fucking my boyfriend."

I think you are very safe to assume what you have... and before you book, you should ask them pointedly, but always insist on precautions, especially if you are the bottom.

I support and agree with Diverdan's comments. "Always insist on precautions!"
