This post contains spoilers so is you watch 24 and haven't had a chance to see the season debut then you might not want to read this yet.

OK so what do you guys think? The new CTU agent is not half bad looking, huh? I knew I should have brushed up on my Spanish during the hiatus.

After being somewhat disappointed with season 2 I felt tonight was a strong start for the new season.

The plot, so far, seems a little more believable than the nuclear bomb of last year. I actually was able to watch Kim for mroe than 20 seconds without becomming ill. I'm so happy they decided to stray from her moronic character of the past two seasons.

Looks like the Prez has a new love interest along with some serious medical problems left over from the assination attack of last season. Speaking of love it seems like Kim might actually be involved this season with a "normal" guy. It was also nice to see Tony and Michelle back and in love. I wonder if their love will make it through the day, hmmm.

The biggest surpize, for me, was finding out that our hero Jack is a junkie. Really a nice touch (and somewhat refreshing) after last season's bionic Bauer.

Well post your impressions I would love to read others take on this first hour.

This show has been my favorite program since its inception. I agree that the third season got off to a fine start. I liked the idea of one big commercial split into two parts with no commercials interrupting the flow. Actually, the commercial was almost as suspenseful as the program itself and more difficult to figure out. I don't think we knew Jack had been turned into a junkie while a prisoner. Please correct me if I'm wrong. The plot is certainly more plausible than last year, and that makes it even scarier. And yes it's nice that Tony and Michelle are getting close again and that Kim seems to have been elevated from the status of airhead in constant distress to computer wiz. Generally, I think this is one of the most creative, intelligent, suspenseful, and well-acted shows to appear on the tube in recent years. I look forward to the next 23 hours! :)

Well, I'm sure you'll see Jack come close to death AT LEAST 25 times BUT MANAGE TO RE-INVEGORATE HIMSELF WITHIN 2 minutes. Remember last year, he was DEAD, after being tortured and managed, within 5 minutes of dying, to chase the BAD GUY, PUNCH HIM OUT AND ALL THAT OTHER GOOD STUFF.

Yea, I know, you're not suppose to judge this show on CREDIBILITY.

But I do feel that your caracterizing this show as "the most creative, intelligent, suspenseful, and well-acted shows to appear on the tube in recent years" is SLIGHTLY EXAGERATED.

I agree completely. I will even adjust my schedule for as to not to miss it Tuesday evenings.

One thing I noticed, as did a friend of mine, is they seem to be focusing a little more on character development thus far. I enjoyed this approach in the first season and really missed it in season 2 where people would appear and disapear with no explanation.

Here's to the next 23!
