Well, pardon my immodesty, but it seems like in the Hooville pool that Hawk rules! :) Of course that would change if we could get more people to play, oh, but what the hell Hooville is so full of non-sports fans that it should perhaps change it's name to HootersVille.

Hmmm, then how could you ever pick Buffalo, Cincinnati, KC, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Carolina, or Green Bay?

Congrats to VAHawk and Huey :)

The saddest thing about last week was that there were 14 games on the schedule. I got 7 right. I could have just flipped coins to determine my pick! anyhoo.

WEEK 9

Sunday, Nov. 2

Carolina at Houston:

Carolina - look for the Panthers to continue their winning streak against mediocre teams. Carr might not play.

Indianapolis at Miami:

Miami - QB controversy in Miami but I am not sold on Indy playing on grass. I'll take the Fins and the over (+39) *

Jacksonville at Baltimore:

Baltimore - jax is terrible. Baltimore is getting their offense rolling to match their stellar defense.

New Orleans at Tampa Bay:

Tampa Bay - I think TB can finally win 2 games in a role.

N.Y. Giants at N.Y. Jets:

N.Y. Giants - G-Man to roll on. Pennington's 1st week back should be shaky. *

Oakland at Detroit:

Oakland - The Raiders have yet to win against the spread this year but the lions are worst off. *

San Diego at Chicago:

Chicago - both are bad but I will say da bears as the chargers played on Monday night.

Cincinnati at Arizona:

Cincy. I am not sold on either teams (come on it's the bengals!) but Arizona is REALLY bad.

Pittsburgh at Seattle,

Seattle - should be a higher scoring game with Seattle winning at the end. damn Hasselback and his interceptions last week!

Philadelphia at Atlanta

Atlanta - apparently teams coming off a bye week do well the following week.

St. Louis at San Francisco

SF - 49ers play tough at home. A new kicker and motivation to avenge last week's pathetic lost will help keep the game close. I would definitely take the 9ers at (+3). *

Washington at Dallas

Dallas - huge divisional game. Dallas was supposed to be rebuilding but I think they should be able to win this one.

Green Bay at Minnesota:

Minnesota - GB is having a off year. Minnesota has a chance to pull FAR away in this division.

Monday, Nov. 3

New England at Denver:

New England - pats are underrated. Denver has lots of injuries. I would not be surprised if this was a blowout. *

* are games I really like.

I agree that they have been playing medicore teams, aside from Tampa ... they have no real offense yet they still keep winning :)

>

This is a coin toss for me I think Indy will pull it out due to the QB contoversy you mentioned. It is one thing to play on the road without home fan pressure now lets see how Brian does at home.

>

Baltimore might just be the surprize team of the league this season. Your right about their offense starting to match their exceptional defense.

>

>New Orleans at Tampa Bay:

>Tampa Bay - I think TB can finally win 2 games in a role.

I dislike Tampa so much that I would be against them if they were playing a high school team :)

>

Both are weak teams this year. I think Chad will pull it together or he will be quickly pulled from the game at home. What was that about last week? Announce before the game that your starting QB won't play the entire game then take him out and leave Chad in to lose the game?

>

>Oakland at Detroit:

LOL, this game might only be interesting because Gannon won't be playing.

>

Almost as boring as Detroit and Chicago last week. San Diego is a mess this year.

>

Like the Ravens I feel Cincy is coming along this year. Not quite as strong though they will probably surprise a few teams over the next few months.

>

Yep that was a sad performance last week for him. I think he will do well this week.

>

Both teams suck this year. Do you think Vick will even be back to complete this losing season? Or will they rest him and try again next year?

I have quite a few mixed feelings about this game. My money is actually on St. Louis.

I agree it could be a blowout if Tom can start passing the ball so someone can catch it :). Also, Denver has no QB and as you mentioned too many injuries. I have money on NE now.

The results are in and MONDO steals first place for the first time with 9 wins! Way to go Mondo :). I reclaim a little of my fame in second place with 8 wins followed closely by Pressyourluck with 7 and VAHAWK falls to last place for the first time with just 6 wins. Onward to week 10 :).
