For sex workers in the NYC area -

 

I'd like to tell y'all a little about Persist Health Project. I'm currently working with them as an outreach volunteer.

 

Persist is a non-profit organization based in Brooklyn that is for sex workers, by sex workers. We offer medical and non-medical services to trafficking survivors and anyone who has traded sex for money, food, drugs, or other resources.

 

Onsite, our peer-leaders and care coordinators help with things like financial planning, mental health referrals and resume-building.

 

Our off-site medical providers offer routine and comprehensive medical care. They are trusted providers who have been vetted by our peer leaders and Medical Director. They are trained, knowledgeable in and sensitive to the needs of people in the sex industry.
