I don't know if anyone else is watching this but Season 2 just concluded the other night and I got around to watching the final 2 hr episode yesterday. It's hard to believe this could get any better but the final one left you just shattered and with an enormous cliffhangar. Shaun Evans and Roger Allam continue to do great work as Morse and his mentor. And last night, James Wilby appeared. I still remember him from MAURICE so many years ago and he's no longer the pretty young thing, of course. At first I didn't recognize him. I urge anyone who likes good British mystery/drama and all Morse fans to watch Season 2.

Very watchable series and I agree it is one of the better homemade UK series recently. Saying that and also if you're a Tom Hardy fan and I'm a huge one, there is a treat in store soon. It's called Taboo

Actor Tom Hardy is joining forces with Sir Ridley Scott for a BBC One period drama about the East India Company.

The eight-part series, Taboo, will star Hardy as a rogue adventurer who sets out to build a shipping empire, pitting him against the East India Company.

Inception star Hardy, who wrote the original story with his father Chips, called it "a flagship British drama for this generation".

I saw that announcement. That has great possibilities and I look forward to it. I just downloaded JAMAICA INN (about which there was so much controversy this week) and the Restoration drama NEW WORLDS which looks interesting. There's just so much interesting TV out there these days.
