Not to complicate matters, but my favorite escort always brings his dog with him when he comes to stay with me (at my insistence), and the dog is always at his place when I visit there. Gives new meaning to pets in the workplace :)

A Praire Home Companion. Dood goes outside, naked, to check on the cat in the crawl space and his dog Oscar comes up to assist.

Oscar sniffed him.

White House secretary Maude Crump brings her pet polecat to work.

No one notices, as Congress is in session just across the Mall.

Pole cat aka skunk.

No one ever notices a pole cat in DC no matter who's in power.

Just one thing, newtothis: in this economic climate it can be a very difficult thing to find another job so not all people can just up and quit. If you were highly allergic to dog dander the issue wouldn't be quite so simple for you.

For sure, and we make accommodations for those who are allergic to dogs (greyhounds have no undercoats and very little fur, so they don't tend to set off allergies). I am allergic to a lot of perfumes and the five zillion scents that people (both men and women) seem to love to coat themselves with though, so I'll have to start asking these folks to quit slapping that stuff on. The recession never really hit this area, but it's certainly obvious that we're pet friendly when one applies. I'm sure that keeps some people from applying, but that's ok, it tends to give us an up with people who work well together and who want a more relaxed, less grumpy place to work and that's the type of people we want to hire anyway. If its good enough for Google its good enough for us. :)
