This mention of awkwardness intrigues me. Clark/Gabe has been around for several years by now. I would think any awkwardness in sexual situations would have faded by now unless he really is mainly straight and still can't get used to meeting guys.

For me the awkwardness seemed to be more social rather than sexual. I think because he has to process what's being said to him in a language that is not his first, it can make him seem unsure of himself. As far as physical awkwardness, he is a very tall guy with very long limbs. While the term gangly would be severely inappropriate for someone whose body is a beautiful as his, there is still a certain amount of accommodation he and his partner must make for the differences in height.
