EZ WEB DESIGN PROGRAM?

I am putting together a simple web site on my hobby. I have a domain and a hosting company, what I'm interested in finding out is there a cheap and easy to use web design tool to do a basic site you can suggest? I have tried Netscape's composer and it is ok but when I uploaded the site nothing worked. Maybe I didn't upload it to the correct directory? is there a trick to this?

Try a search on download.com or tucows.com for design software. Several are free to try before you buy .
