An interesting new find on adam4adam, New York, is 'bustermuscl'. Although not an escort profile, strictly speaking, this studly type mentioned that he had done some porn work as 'Max Chevalier'. Apparently, he moved to NY from Montreal 2 weeks ago. My understanding is that he danced at some of the clubs there as well.

Since I couldn't find anything on the forum about this gentleman, I would appreciate hearing any thoughts from my fellow board members.

Let's hope that this person is not 'Jeff Chevalier', the former Canadian lover of the BP CEO.

This is a direct quote from his profile:

"I am a catfish, not sure what that is? Google it. Only interested in an on-line relationship"

From the Urban Dictionary:

"A catfish is someone who pretends to be someone they're not using Facebook or other social media to create false identities, particularly to pursue deceptive online romances."

Thank you, Scorpio. I wasn't aware of the definition of 'catfish'. Nice 'catch'! And what a bummer, too ...

If you get a chance to take a look, there is a show called "Catfish." On the show at least, it isn't always a negative, however in this case.....proceed with caution.

Thanks, BVB, I appreciate it. From the looks of it, this guy has no intention at all to meet guys 'live'. It's all about maintaining an on-line illusion that he is indeed 'Max Chevalier'. He hasn't asked for any $$$ yet, but that could be forth coming. It will be interesting to see how this plays out ...

He specifically outs himself as a "catfish". A fake identity...where is the illusion.

Oh the $$ thing would probably come sooner rather than later...lol... All of this works of course, because people often believe what they want to believe, regardless of the red flags.

Yes, but how many people know what a 'catfish' is. How many will google it? I didn't ... but I am glad you pointed it out, for which I am grateful.

This ad makes no sense. If he's a fake, why would he reveal it. As for the definition of catfish, I didn't know it either. But I would think anyone with a modicum of sense would look up an unfamiliar term.
