Here's my take for what it is worth. If they do not wish to make a cake for a gay wedding because of their religious beliefs fine. If they don't want to make a cake cause of ones color of skin, fine. If they don't want to make a cake cause someone has pink dyed hair, fine. But they better be ready for the consequences for their actions which could lead to the loss of their livelihood. In this situation the gays networked and the free market said sorry Charlie, your hate has no place here.

Hugs,

Greg

No, actually, it's not fine. Because of civil rights laws, there are certain jobs that bigoted people just can't have, and providing public accommodations is one of them. There was a time in the U.S. when a business could decide not to serve someone because of the color of their skin, ethnic background, or any other capricious reason. This is simply no longer legal today. As an atheist, I realize that my beliefs are incompatible with becoming a rabbi, preacher, or priest, among other jobs. Every American is free to have his own beliefs. But there are certain beliefs which, if firmly held, are incompatible with certain jobs.
