Most people seem to focus on the "10" birthdays -- you know, 20; 30; 40; 50; 60; 70 -- but, I have long understood that it is the "5" birthdays that are the most significant -- 15; 25; 35; 45; 55; 65. After all, "28" and " 32" are really about being around "30"; whereas at 35 you cross the cold hard line into "40" territory. For example, just after age 15 you get your drivers license and experience the beginning of independence from your folks; at age 25 you must exit the "college years" or "young free spirit years", and have to face adulthood and responsibility. At 35 you're just not a kid anymore, no matter how much you wish you were. By 45, like it or not, the "middle-aged" label is starting to haunt you. At 55, if you're lucky, you're at or near retirement; At 65, like it or not, your description by others likely contains both "Sr" and "Citizen". Just my 2 cents, but the "5" birthdays are the ones that really change your life.

Interesting, that was my observation as well at one time. Now, I see it like this from experience or observation, the significant ages switches are 20, 35, 40, 45, 55, 65.
