This year I will again be particpating in the Harbor To The Bay Ride fOR AIDS. On September 21th I will be riding from Boston to Provincetown in support of Fenway Health and other organizations fighting for those of us with HIV+/Aids. I have been so lucky in my own fight in that I have a doctor and meds which are assisting me in leading a life with hope for the future.

I also am blessed to have so much in my life which is positve(no pun here). I have both the means and the insurance which are huge weapons in the fight agains AIDS...not all are so lucky. My meds alone are over $2500.00 per month. Not all have insurance to cover this staggering cost. Yet Fenway Health is there for them.

It is for them and for all of us who fight this every day that I am trying to raise the $2,000.00 (more if I can) to help the Fenway organization continue to do for others what they have done for me.

Unlike last year, I am not going to be able to ride the whole 125 mile distance. I am still recovering from Guilliam-Barre Syndrome but am committed to ride as far as my legs and heart can take me. For me the ride is about paying forward.

I know that you are all bombarded with requests like this everyday. I am asking you as a friend and a member of our community to support my efforts with whatever you can afford. 100% of the money raised by riders like myself, goes directly to the agencies that provide quality health care, medications, support, as well as HIV/AIDS prevention education.

My goal is to raise in excess of $2000.00 this year. Please join me in making a difference in the world we all share and a difference in the lives of so many we live with.

Thanks for reading this and any consideration you can give to supporting my ride. Thanks.

Gentlemen, please.

Rich has been one of the kindest, most giving members here on the forum for over four years. How many of you have enjoyed all the photos he has shared over the years both in the regular gallery and in the Fetish Forum as well. And in countless other ways, he has always been supportive and kind and helpful to everyone. I refer to Rich as my brother because 12 days from today marks the 3 year anniversary he reached out to a newbie, a stranger to these forums, someone struggling to find his place here and in the world, and offer his friendship. I know I am not the only guy either. And now it is time for us to step up and support Rich.

Not only will you be supporting one of the most respected members here on the forum, but also one of the leading organizations in the fight against HIV and AIDS from the very beginning: Fenway Health. A leader in the fight against HIV and AIDS since 1985, they continue to make a difference in the lives of countless men and women struggling with HIV. And for all of us. Fenway Health has been selected as one of 8 sites selected to recruit participants for a clinical trial of an HIV vaccine. So they continue their cutting edge work. Supporting Rich supports them and benefits the entire community.

So please, I'm asking, if you can, help support Rich's ride. It would mean a great deal to him. And for someone who has given so much to the forum over the years, I think it is something we should do. And it's for a cause that benefits the community.

Thanks for your support guys. I really appreciate it.

Two other quick reminders: obviously this is a 501©(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible to the extent possible. And if you work at an organization that has a company match, don't forget to apply for that as well. Every little bit helps.

And thanks to the admins for making this thread a sticky so it stays at the top of the page.

Rich's ride is this weekend, and I hope that others here can step up and help him reach his goal. He still has $800 to make it. Rich has meant so much to this forum and so many of us. I have seen quite a few forum members contribute. Hopefully many others can in the last few days. Please. It is a worthwhile cause. Fenway Health is one of the premiere HIV organizations in the country and in the world. And Rich has done so much here. Please, if you can, follow the link at the top here and donate to support Rich and the Fenway Health. Thank you!
