When I 1st heard about this story last June of 2012 thru Kickstarter, I was thrilled to be a part of the effort of over 6,500 Kickstarter.com supporters that helped fund the production of the movie "Bridegroom, An American Love Story"

 

I was greatly moved about its underlying love story between Shane Crone and Tom Bridegroom then both the tragic loss of Tom followed by how Shane was treated by Tom's parents, and how Tom's parents seemed to feel about their own son.

ALL distribution companies we have spoken with have said the same thing. If we send out a single DVD, they are not willing to distribute this film. We believe that the most important thing is to get this message to the widest possible audience. We are including a portion of an article below about the growing problem with content being illegally stolen. While we don’t believe any of you would steal the movie, the distribution companies are not willing to take any chances.

 

Spring's Most Pirated Shows Ranked, Including Another Record for 'Game of Thrones' EW

 

The HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones" has set another record, with the drama's third season ranking as the most-pirated show of spring 2013, EW.com's Inside TV reports, citing TorrentFreak. The show drew 5.2 million illegal downloads this spring, easily outdistancing CBS's "The Big Bang Theory," in second place with 2.9 million downloads. In third place was CBS's "How I Met Your Mother" with 2.85 million downloads, and AMC's "The Walking Dead" was fourth with 2.7 million.

I can't seem to find the words tonight to express how I feel about this. Thank you again BC for posting. One of these days I would love to meet you. I had not heard about this story, so I am trying to digest the video and my thoughts. Initially I am of course tremendously moved and saddened, but moreover it prompted me to do something that I have been thinking about doing for sometime. It is a small insignificant thing really, but huge in my world. Perhaps at some point will discuss it on the forum. It's unimportant to others, so I will leave it for another day. For now I just want to absorb the power of the video. Again I thank you BC.....

Bridegroom was so popular that it was shown twice at the LA's Outfest, which just concluded. It won the audience award for best documentary. It is rumored to be opening in LA and NY soon. It might also be available on Netflix.
