Very sad article. We are sometimes at a loss for words, since there is so much that many of us would love to say to this young man, but are unable to. Unfortunately we do not know how or why all the bullying occurred, but one thought, and this is by no means the only party at fault here, but I blame the school at least in part. If this was going on for years, I think schools should adopt a zero tolerance for bullying.

I don't think any number of laws are going to make a difference. People need to be raised to respect others. If the parents do not respect others the children will learn from them.

Such a sad story. As a former teacher I saw it every day. We definitely have a need for better parenting.....and in some cases teaching. It all starts at home.

yes very sad. Almost all of us have forgotten how an off handed comment by the one saying/sending words is forgotten quickly by that sender but often internalized by the recipient.

I know probability all of us have been guilty as the sender at some points in our lives (shame on all of us). I'm equally sure we've all been the hurt recipient.

May we all learn......

I pray to remember this, and to avoid being mean and hateful or hurtful with any words I use everyday. The less hurtful language the better our world can be.

May I learn.......
