The members here who have welcomed me back. But I'm not sure if I'm back for long. Things are pretty bad for me career wise- which is not helping my chronic pessimism. And when I say bad- I mean that if a relative hadn't offered me a place to live- there's a good chance I'd be homeless within the next 12 to 18 months. And this relative only has a one bedroom condo- so the offer is a great sacrifice for my relative. In addition to housing situation- I'm not sure how long I'll be able to afford my smartphone with Internet connection. I may have to go to a pay as you go Trac Phone or the like. And from where I stand now- it seems like this may not be just a momentary detour in the road of life- this state of affairs may be permanent. And while I enjoy the Forum and my interactions with the members here, I'm just not sure how well I can take reading about the hot guys we discuss and knowing I may never be able to hire again, or hearing about all of you guys who manage to find non paid situations, or even reading about all of you who are partnered because I doubt I'll ever find someone. I mean I'm glad most of y'all are in much better situations socially and economically than I am in, but it's painful reading about it when I don't have much hope.

There have been times when I also felt that there was little or no hope; there have been times when I observed others doing those things I desperately wanted to do but couldn't; there have been times when depression got the best of me and only clouds were on the horizon.

BUT don't you dare give into believing that there is no hope or that things will not get better---they will and if you fight the pessism and keep on "keeping on" you WILL win.

Gman,

Welcome back to the Forum and sorry to hear about your current situation.

Sometimes one needs a little self-confidence and believing that there's a way out.

Having a partner and close friends sure helps, but sometimes we have to find that inner strength and keep believing.
