Well Flower, I think your suggestions would definitely improve his business, no doubt about that, regardless of the hair thing, which imo, should be about what the individual wants. I think his hair style is fine, but I really didn't pay much attention to it so went back and looked again, and it looks fine to me.

 

But imo, just changing the marketing presentation without changing the product itself to live up to the advertisement, would be a "hard sell". If he just isn't able to perform with older clientel but advertises as such, I think he would be worse off from a lot of negative reviews from such clientel.

David, I agree that you have received some harsh comments. Not everyone here is in the diplomatic corps :+ Not everyone cares to be helpful. Escorts participating on this board need to develop a thick skin, sense of humor and rapier wit, particularly if they wish to joust.

 

You did come here to ask for comment on how to improve business. You have to expect not only positive comments in the sense of what else you can do, but also 'negative' comments in the sense of what you are doing or have done that is hurting your business, that are truly constructive criticism. I believe that you have received helpful comments in both veins. You may not agree with everyone -- take what is good and leave the rest -- and don't sweat any snide remarks. They are an energy sink and only serve to deflect the discussion. Skip over them.

 

Now that I know you bottom, I'd take a run at you if you were local and your rate did not exceed my upper limit. To dwell on the negative for a moment, I did read for the first time your negative review and response. I think this is something you are going to have to work to overcome. You were immature and unprofessional but, to your credit, you stood up publicly and admitted fault. That redeemed you as a person but not as an escort. I supsect and hope that you learned from that experience. Now you have to convince clients of that by being very professional in your communications and appointments. That professionalism will be noted in your reviews and eventualy diminsh the impact of that one review.

 

I have been with some very successful escorts and dancers, foreign and domestic, and one of the things they all had in common was the very deliberate effort they went to in order to appeal to their clientel -- image, hygiene, clothing (colors that flatter, style that sets the image, clothes that hang right and accentuate the positive) and physical appearance: hair, skin, lips, eyes, body tone. We are not talking surgery here (though some have) we are talking daily care and attention. All done not to reflect who they are but to reflect their perception of what the client wants to see in a guy of their type/age. My point: if you want to be a 20-21 yo skater dude (just an example, don;t know it that is you) living his life, being the guy he thinks he is and wants to be, then you are probably doing well making $5K. If you want to get significantly above that stratum you need to suppress that guy and become the guy (or guys) that clients, particularly those with deep pockets want to see. Image is half of everything: physical and intellectual. That will get you thru the door. The other half -- excellent performance will get rave reviews and repeat business.

P.S. As others have pointed out, loose the link to your personal website. It sends an inappropriate message for business. Don't mix personal life with business. In personal life you are who you want to be, in business you are who the client wants you to be. No one expects that your taste in friends is the same as your taste in clients. No one wants to be reminded of it either.
