I'm wondering if clients in San Franco look at Oakland ads and have guys come to visit. I've gone across the bay twice now and have easy access. However I stared

Haven't gotten any response from rent b yet. I was really tempted to upgrade to platinum San Fran but couldn't justify when I haven't met anyone from it yet but all my other ads have. However Oakland has no one really advertising there. will doing rent b San Fran make a difference? So far I'm on 3 other sites already. Thought about rent men too

Hopefully the guys in the SF Bay area can give you some good feedback. When I go to SF on business, I don't look at Oakland, but maybe I should. I am not there very often, so usually seeing the same ones I have seen in the past.

Joey - advertise in SF, not Oakland and in your ad state you are in Oakland. Your ad will get much more traffic on any site if you are the primary metro, Oakland is like posting in the Bronx and not in NYC.

We would love you to come back to RentMen, I believe your last ad was in 2009 with us. Traffic has tripled since then, the site is fresh with many features and we have a Mobile version for smartphones / tablets at http://www.m.rentmen.com. Travel cities are still free and our rates have not increased = VALUE passed onto our community. PM me and I'll provide a promo code for a month.

Warm regards,

Mike

Oh okay, great input. I did Oakland because I'm car bound and don't want to be right in the middle of San Fran. But didn't know it was like advertising in the evil sister city (st. paul/fort worth). I thought it'd be more like Miami/Miami Beach or Tampa/St. Pete. or LA/Orange County. You just never know these places sometimes. I liked the shore part of Oakland though. But started to get bored of it and wanted to move on, so likely I'll be back in SF tomorrow.

I'll try rentmen out again...I like the layout.

I agree. If I see someone advertising in SF but listing they work out of Oakland, it's no big deal.

I agree with the others. Advertise in SF. The thought of checking in Oakland never crosses my mind since it's not easy for me to get there without a car. Just make it clear that you're in Oakland and that you will travel to SF, if you are.

I generally assume that the guys who only advertise in Oakland are unable or unwilling to travel to SF. Likewise, I generally assume that all the guys that advertise in SF can meet in SF, even if they can only do an outcall.

When it comes to the San Francisco Bay area, most folks look "west" for the majority of their daily and nightly activities. If you are in Oakland, put San Francisco and Oakland as your home bases. State that you are willing to travel if need be, and if necessary as well as desired, you could request a fee for transportation if it's an "out" call.

I live south of San Francisco by some almost two hours. When I want "to play," I just contact the escorts and drive to them and stay at a hotel. This has worked for me during all of these years of my engaging the services of some very stunning and hot men! Also, since I don't mind driving to an escort's abode, I'd see him in Oakland if need be if it's an "in" call!

Thanks for the reply...I'll have to keep that in mind.

Regardless, I enjoyed my visit anyway with just the 3 sites I had up. I've never known rent boy to bring in a high volume of clients in any city thus far. But the clients it does bring are always A+ so I don't mind utilizing it from time to time. At this point any place beats Denver right about now. If I can go to the Castro and meet a client in a matter of minutes, who is literally right around the corner, then what the hell am I doing wasting my time waiting around for days for something to happen here?

Not that I plan to move to SF, but time is ticking for where I am now. Won't be long before I run the gamut, if I haven't already done so. Definitely won't be renewing my lease next month. Travel is good, but things locally should be sustainable to a degree.

I used to being a thousand miles from 1 city to the next living here, made crossing the bridges between SF and Oakland seem like walking from my doorstep to the mailbox.

My only gripe is the $5 it costs to cross into SF, which next time would encourage me to stay west. I think it was a little excessive. Didn't feel like visiting the Golden gate this visit. I paid $15 in total the whole stay crossing bridges not to mention gas is consistently highest in the nation (if I sound cheap, remember this isn't being charged to corporate account...yet). Of course suspension bridges are one of the more costly type of bridge, but in Miami and Tampa Bay you don't pay anything to cross over into Miami Beach or St. Pete. I would do the drive 2-3 times in a day on a weekend. And there's multiple bridges you can use to cross over. In Tampa you pay for the Sunshine skyway $2.50 and Miami to cross from the airport into Miami downtown. That's it. Of course there's the Turnpike and stuff in Orlando but those are easily avoided and only $1.
