Perhaps I'll go as well. I haven't seen Jason in eight years!

Again this year I thought I would post the names of some gay hotels and bed and breakfasts that Palm Spring Weekend attendees might want to consider. I have nothing to add regarding Helios as Ace has described it very well.

1. THE HACIENDA AT WARM SANDS

1-800-359-2007

http://www.thehacienda.com

I have not stayed here but I have visited. I find it the most luxurious but also the most expensive. The rooms and the

grounds are beautiful. CLOTHING OPTIONAL

2. CASA OCOTILLO

1-800-996-4108

http://www.casaocotillo.com

I have stayed here. It is quite small but very nice. It is located somewhat out of the way. CLOTHING OPTIONAL

3. INNdulge

1-760-327-1408

http://www.indulge.com

I have not stayed here but I would. Probably the largest of the places listed. It is most like a gay resort. CLOTHING

OPTIONAL

4. East Canyon Hotel and Spa

1-877-324-6835

http://www.eastcanyonps.com

I have stayed here. It resembles and old fashioned motel but has very nice rooms and grounds. NOT CLOTHING

OPTIONAL

Hope this is helpful.

I'd also recommend Chaps Inn. It's right around the corner from Helios, definitely walking distance. My husband and I have stayed there twice, and we loved it. It's small like Helios, only ten rooms. Very small jacuzzi, unfortunately. Or fortunately, depending on how you look at it. ;)

Happy to see responses from new faces as well as previous participants (I was gonna say "old faces", but that didn't sound right!).:)

Hey Ollie! As always I Wish You a Great Time and a Happy New Year! ;) JT

Count me in!

Oliver, I have sent in my deposit for Helios, and put in for the time off at work! I missed last year and am looking forward to this year. Let me know what other expenses there will be. Thank you both for putting this together!

JJ

I invite you to mark your calendars for March 23 and 24, 2013 for the 9th Annual Palm Springs Weekend. There will be a dinner on Saturday the 23rd, tentatively a theatrical performance at the local playhouse after the dinner, and a "pool event" at my rented condo in the afternoon of Sunday, the 24th. And probably another dinner after the “pool event”. More details will be announced as they become available.:)

In the meantime, I wish everyone an early Happy Valentine’s Day! (Which also happens to be International Condom Day!)

:D

Glad my other brother from another mother can make it. You were missed in DC this year and PS last. Can't wait to have my partner meet you. I reckon we'll have to strap you to the St. Andrew's for a birthday flogging again?

This sounds like an excellent time! Looks like I get let out of school for Spring break on the 22nd. It would be perfect timing for me should anyone need some accompaniment.

I'll be staying at Helios. They have 2 queen rooms (or is that two rooms with queen beds?) left. If you want to stay at one of the kink'er resorts in Palm Springs you may not want to wait much longer.

I'll be staying an extra day so I'm having a publishing party on Monday. Nothing fancy perhaps I'll order a pizza to see what the Pizza boy looks like. Just remember that Daddy gets up at the crack of noon and is grumpy until he has had his Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry. A hot sub or was that a hot stud (cherry optional) with a sub is sure to bring a smile to my face.

Dinner will be at Denny's where they're used to loud people and it's only a block away.

If your staying at the Helios they won't mind if you hang around after you check out. For the rest of you, A day pass for the Helios is $10 so if your shy you can discretely show up and have Daddy yak your ear off.

What? Quiet, demure Daddy? Yak your ear off? Never considered that possible. :p

Love ya Daddy and can't wait to see you again. Guys, if you've never met Daddy and talked to him at length (as I have on 3 separate weekends), take this chance. You won't regret it. Well, not all of it. :)

Hot damn. Steven Draker will be there. Can't wait to see you again my friend.

So Helios has 12 rooms. One is open. I've got one with my partner (I got the King suite, my favorite). I know at least 8 occupants in 5 of the other rooms. Now who are the other five rooms? Forum attendees? I guess we shall see. Dinner at Trio 7 weeks from tonight.

And why is it that every single guy who is going that I've talked to is on a diet and hitting the gym hard trying to shed those winter pounds. Damn, we can be a vain lot, can't we?

Can't wait to see you all in 7 weeks.

Is that a recent change? When we were staying there, up until a few months ago, Helios only had 10 rooms.

Either way, Wayne and I can't wait to see you guys again!

Actually Trip Advisor says 11 rooms. So I guess when you were there one of the rooms had been converted to the second play area. When I booked, Mike said that they may have turned that back into an available room by the time we get there. So I guess it could be 10 or 11, depending on whether they have done that. So 6 of rooms are accounted for, plus the 1 available room.

We stayed there several times over the course of a year, from Labor Day 2011 to Labor Day 2012, and in that time, they didn't have a second play area. They just had the ten rooms, #2-11.

I am pleased to report that Oliver and I had a very "productive" strategic planning session this past week while he stopped over in Phoenix. Many details were discussed over dinner & Dessert and my consulting skills were proven quite valuable!

See all you guys soon in March! :)
