Although it wasn't my best month ever it was an amazing Christmas! My regular guys were great! Gift cards, clothes, and cash were very unexpected but very appreciated!

It proves taking care of the people that take care of us, is the key to doing this and the right thing to do!

This week is back to normal and I'm think next week will be even better!

Thanks

November and December were very slow for me. I think most of the money is to be made in the popular areas. Thankfully I was ready for it this year (unlike last year). Hoping to barely scrape by ... especially with textbook fees coming up in the next week & moving out of this apartment into a new one.

Life is rough =|. Save save save.

This December is down 23% from last December, but 2012 overall will end up 36% above 2011, my previous best year. It's the nature of the business to fluctuate. Like Xander says, save, save, save. And maybe travel a bit for work.

This was actually my busiest Christmas for years here in England. The week before Christmas was almost exclusively regular clients who wanted a bit of fun before they had to spend time with their families over Christmas. 3 a day every day for 10 days except one day when I only seen 1 client. A number of those clients were guys I had not seen since last year who only visit me when returning to visit family for the holidays. My last client before Christmas left me my fee again as a tip ..... Double money for my last appointment. I went straight down to the store and bought myself an expensive bottle of The Botanist gin as a treat to myself for Christmas Eve from his generosity.

There have been times over the year when I have not been as busy and I spend 6-8 weeks a year in Turkey so I am not complaining. Unlike many of you, I am now entering my 13th year as a sex worker and one of my original clients in 1999 has seen me 6 times in 2012. This work is about building up a client base who want to come back time and time again. They pay the bills for you, the new guys afford you the holidays and the niceties but you have to carry on inventing yourself as you mature. When I was 25 I was skinny, goofy and still didn't have a full beard. I am now late 30s and not so goofy, a lot more hairy with more facial hair than I wish to have. I might have changed but so has my captured market and I've grown with them along the way. In 1999 you would find me in speedos , Now I am in a rugby kit for role play and have adapted to what my age dictates and what my clients expect.

Stay committed thorough the bad times because they don't usually last for long if you know your market and know what you're aiming for.

I'm lucky to have had a good and busy December and holiday season. I couldn't accommodate everyone that contacted me while I was traveling, but I had a good time.

@Kevin, I love your percentages. I just started keeping track this year and was AMAZED at the final number.

It has been extremely slow this month, was wondering how other people are doing. Maybe its just this area?

Have a few guys interested but they needed to postpone until after the New Year so I guess somewhat slow.

Clients don't like young escorts =| (From what I'm told)

I think they do but equally as many don't. I'm the wrong side of 30 and I do very well but I have heard so many horror stories over the years from clients who have seen "younger models" and how they were treated. I am not saying that younger guys aren't as good at the work because I was one if them once but I think they need to have a bit more of the world under their belt before they're experienced enough.

A masseur who does sensual massages sent me a solicitation message, then followed up with the admission that the holidays were normally slow periods for him. I wondered if New York was any busier for escorts and masseurs during the holidays because of higher stress levels, but can also imagine that because there's so much going on, and so much money being spent for gifts etc., that clients might wait until afterward to spend on themselves by hiring an escort/masseur.

I am a client and I look for young escorts (between 21 and 26/27). Probably fair to say any "one" client can't speak for all of us.

Totally in agreement as i also enjoy hiring young escorts (although not exclusively).

To the extent that there is any seasonality, December falls right in the middle of the pack for me, with April, May and June being my best months and February and especially August being the slow ones.

Citylaw, there are many who replyed to this. Which one may I ask that you were speaking to.

You dear. I've been trying to tempt you into a "verse" beach vacation for a year. If it matters, my penis seems to shrink in proportion to the growth of my belly ... and the damn cigarettes take the wind out of any porn like pounding ...:) I am a blast

haha aww citylaw, i would love a nice beach vacation however still iffy on they verse part but of course there is always plenty other things we can do.

So, "iffy" means you're considering? I'm a lawyer, and very persuasive. We'll get you good and drunk.

I do generally find that more of my business in December is out of towners visiting NYC for Christmas and New Years.

I am surprised a young hottie like Zach sees low business. But again I am also surprised on the prevailing taste in this forum ;)

Some of us may live far away from 'Zach'. That doesn't reflect on our overall taste level. Thank you.
