The warning at the end of one of the DVDs I just watched states "The definition of home use excludes the use of this disc at locations such as clubs, coaches, hospitals, hotels, oil rigs, prisons, and schools." How did oil rigs make the list?

People who work on oil rigs live there for months at a time. They have public movie nights for the entire crew at times as well as other ways to stave off the boredom. Don't see why the company would care.

And it seems foolish to include schools because the use of media for educational purposes has been protected and deemed to not infringe copyright law for at least 50 years.

A regular of mine works on the North Sea oil rigs and he'd told me a few stories about what goes on.
