Five years, and so much has changed. Jerry Sanders has become a great supporter of the LGBT community, including testifying on behalf of of the opponents to Prop 8. It is worthwhile to see the struggle he made to come to this decision, but it is one that he now gladly and forcefully supports.

So many mocked President Obama's "evolution" on the subject of marriage equality. But many others have made the same journey. Jerry Sanders shows it here. Others who have made the exact same journey also include Chris Gregoire of Washington and the Rev. Dr. Joseph Lowery.

Another heart touching video is the speech given by Rep. Maureen Walsh to the Washington house in the debate preceding the passage of the marriage equality bill.

Thank you so much Lee for this wonderful video which puts the reality in its proper perspective. Marriage is not for everyone. Nor is having children. The wrong thing is that it has been interpretted for years as very gender specific which did not tolerate any variance from the "norm". Congratulations to all those who have moved forward because of LOVE, not what others may think
