Was paging through Kavalier & Clay this morning (just confirming there's no possible way he's straight before I make any personal predictions on how he'll handle the Spidey 2 screenplay) and was reminded just how much I like the font. I didn't find any "About the Font" sections like you often see in books these days.

Does anybody know what Font that is? It's handsome and readable (fragment).

I believe it is set in "Walbaum," if you mean the hardcover edition.

Michael Chabon, who happens to be one of my favorite contemporary authors, is utterly gorgeous and writes gay male characters with warmth and insight. To my knowledge, he is also straight. C'est la vie.

RE: Kav. & Clay Font

Rod I acknowledge I haven't a clue about the subject. Though if you really want to know the font of any site go to alt.design.graphics (Usenet) and post your question there. They can pretty much answer any question related to any site and generally take joy in doing so.

Rod--

Thank goodness you're back. I had missed your posts. Even those that generate unreasonable heat are appreciated by us lurkers. Don't let them keep you away.

By the way, "It's readable and ..." is not a fragment if you meant that as an English teacher would.

"It's readable" is just as complete a sentence as, for example, "he's wonderful.

Thank you gentle. Looked the Font up, and that's it. Good choice. Klay's first response to seeing 2 guys kiss, and certainly the whole betrayl via sex he went through (so powerful I quite nearly stopped reading at that point (not know I'd have been better off as I would have missed the pointless Antarctica wondering, and the lame ending)), could not have been written [passive voice] by a heterosexual.
