I'll be in West Hollywood next week.

 

Is there any place in town where I can sit, have a sasparilla, and watch excellent butts walk by?

 

(It'd be a plus if they're wearing Speedos, but I know that might be asking too much! )

Anywhere on the North side of Santa Monica Blvd, from Robertson down to the car wash....once you are there, you will see what I mean. It is about a 3 block stretch... half a dozen bars or so. Bars don't open until about 4 pm, depending on the day, sometimes earlier...mid day is good at 'Rage' they open early, the bartender is cute and you can sit outside facing the Blvd. Enjoy!! BUT don't order a 'sasparilla', unless you are at Happy Hour at the bar called "Eleven"...just down the street.

The Abbey may be the other spot. If you're not a drinker, there are a few coffee places further east past the car wash on Santa Monica Boulevard that would also be good before the bars open.

FofS, don't limit yourself to WeHo. If I were you and had a rental car, I'd head to the beach and Santa Monica. Cheers!

Great advise, Steven... Santa Monica and the beach there can be lots of fun... check out the gaycities website for LA, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, etc. and you will find a lot of places that might interest you!

One more nice idea for you FOS...Just got back from WEHO, and had a 'latte' with a friend at the Starbucks on Santa Monica, across the street from the 24 hour fitness (it is just west of La Cienaga) on the North side of the street....we sat outside....OMG, I think every hot, young, bubble butt stud in WEHO goes to that gym (Oh the stories I could tell) some of the cutest little bodies and butts going in and out of the gym, and many gong to and from the gym cross the street at that corner right in front of you. Now Starbucks doesn't serve 'Sasparilla' but you will see plenty of speedos.... LOL, but hope you have fun, whatever you decide to do. :p

If anyone has any clue when is the best time to be there, I'd love to hear. I imagine that daytime would bring all the out-of-work actors (isn't that ALL actors? ) and they might be better-looking than average...

 

This reminds me of when I heard that the time to be near the Frontiers magazine office was about an hour before the deadline for the classified ads. All the "models/masseurs" would come there at the last minute to drop their ads in the mail bin, and the patrons of the restaurant nearby would get an eyeful of the parade.

No car, I'm afraid.

 

In any case, I'd be concerned that there'd be too few Speedos at the beach, unless it were an Iron Man competition.
