The gay guesthouses of Fort Lauderdale have been actively promoting a variety of parties on their premises this year, much more than in the past. The Royal Palms has a weekly Sunday Tea Dance, which is very popular. Last Sunday, 200-300 guys partied at the Royal Palms. The Windamar has been having a series of Saturday Nude Pool Parties and other themed parties, always clothing-optional. These parties have also been popular and successful. Remember, both these guesthouses are two or three older motels which have been combined and refurbished and are very attractive. They are lushly landscaped and have two or three courtyards with pools, so there is a lot of room to sit or wander and meet people. All the parties allow in-and-out privileges, so you can wander from one guesthouse to another. They are all very close together, so it is easy and quick to walk around. The usual hours are afternoon, but you will have access to their premises until late at night. Check their websites or e-mail them for details. The gay guesthouses these days are much more than quiet places to sit in the sun.
