My impression is that some go because it "helps" their marketing of themselves on RB -- but I hope someone can tell me I am wrong. Personally, I find the awards "fixed" (heck some of the guys in the finals seem to be people dissed here or even ones using someone else's photos such as "NY Alejandro"). Why waste the money? I agree with Brooklyn Guy -- the one's I'd be interested in seeing I doubt would be attending the event.
