I'm not a diehard fan of Tony Bennett but I've always appreciated his talent and recognized his special place within the music industry. Great Performances on PBS offers "Tony Bennett: Duets II," and I think the production qualities of this very special project are quite high.

Some of my favorite filmed duets: Lady Gaga, k.d. lang, Alejandro Sanz, and Amy Winehouse in her last recorded performance before her death. My least favorite was Cheryl Crow and Willie Nelson. All fascinating to watch.

Bill Moyers, one of my favorite thought-provoking journalists, is back on PBS with Moyers & Company, and the conversations are RIVETING. "On Winner-Take-All-Politics" and "Crony Capitalism" and "How Big Banks are Rewriting the Rules of our Economy" are must-see episodes, revealing the truth behind our economy and the politics that got us here. If you can't see repeats on your local PBS station, you can catch full shows at http://billmoyers.com/.
