I recently stumbled upon the blog of a sexy NYC baker. It's cute. There are some great photos and the dialogue is often fun. Take a look, but I'm warning you, it may make you a bit hungry....possibly for more than just a slice of apple pie!

I remember as a kid, my mother would bake a chocolate pie, topped with meringue. It was often a Sunday night treat. And I have fond memories of my grandmother making pie crust directly on her kitchen counter, no mixing bowl, only the flour mounded to hold the liquids as she mixed everything by hand.

Now, if I can just find someone to teach me to bake!

That is a clever and unique blog indeed. Brandon, thanks for sharing it. By the way, I wouldn't mind watching you standing butt-naked (except for an apron) baking pie in my kitchen any day. Preferably cherry pie.

I can top Toulouse since I am an excellent baker and I will teach you everything I know....but like Toulouse you must only wear and apron and allow me to lick off any drippings!!!

A couple of weekends ago, Tyger came to visit me for a few days of "taste of New England"!!! One night we decided to bake a Scandanavian Almond Cake at midnight. It was like a pornographic Julia Child!!!! Tyger, only in a apron, did the actual work, but watching him and getting a chance to taste the frosting periodically on his body was absolutely perfection. Eating the final product with WHIPPED CREAM and berries was divine.

For years, I always had a chocolate meringue pie for my birthday and other special occasions. One of the best things on earth.

Thanks for the memories and the link to the piefolk. Very interesting.

Shoreboy....you've been teasing me with your culinary skills for quite some time. Go fetch your butter cream recipe. I know exactly where I want it to drip!

Leigh, I still can picture the sheet of yellow steno paper that held my mother's recipe for chocolate pie. Warm memories.

I willing to teach you how to make the World's Best Cinnamon Rolls. Same Clothing restrictions.

Need big table need as the receipt is for 12 dozen, it can be cut in half for 6 dozen, after that it loses something in the translation.

One of the few potato recipes I know that starts from scratch.

Oh my! I'd love to bake with you! If you'll send me a recipe every now and then, I'll feature it on the Website. Please don't feel that you have to dress for the occasion!
