Saw this yesterday. It's playing at only a few theaters in Manhattan. Fantastic film for anybody fascinating in the financial industry and how firms reacted to the bad news about securitized mortgage packages. Great cast - Kevin Spacey beyond great. Zach Quinto - newly out of the closet - looking fantastic as always.

I agree. It's an excellent movie, much better than the Michael Douglas Wall Street movies. I thought the name of the head of the investment company, played by Jeremy Irons, was Toll, but it's Tuld. This is a fictional account of the demise of Lehman Brothers, and Richard Fuld was the head of Lehman Brothers. (Skirting the slander laws?)

BTW, "The Wave," with Martin Sheen, is also a wonderful movie. It's not playing in many theaters, nor has it been advertised much, probably because Sheen's son, Emilio Estevez, is the producer (and writer and director), and doesn't have a big advertising budget.

Saw a very good documentary "To Hell And Back Again" at the Film Forum the other day.

It follows a soldier injured in Afghanistan and his return to the states for medical care and rehabilitation

Like "Restrepo" it has no agenda; let's you see exactly what his life is like then and now.
