The Help starring Emma Stone

If you haven't had the opportunity to see this film, I highly recommend you do. The Help will join the category of films like The Hours in my mind.....incredibly well done and there were a number of moments I had to fight back the tears as I don't cry in public.

 

I'm curious if anyone has read The Help by Kathryn Stockett? I picked up my copy this morning and as it will be 112 today in Phoenix, I'll be snuggled in my reading chair and am excited to see how the book compares with the film.

I am a huge fan of the book and sort of saw this behavior in real action as I worked for a Pres/CEO for 16 years who was from Jackson, MS and quite personified the white employer. I was a bit disappointed in the movie. I think it may have run about 1/2 hour too long. A must see though nevertheless.
