Reading one of Devons entries on his diary (Thursday 10/24)about the journal that he found from the young gay cop in Florida you should read some of the entries they are funny and insightful - i would start from end August 2002 onwards

 

It got me thinking about being who i am a gay man who happens to be a cop ,now as someone who has been out for a long while at work 11 years to be precise it made me smile to remember some of the things this guy is going thru.It seems he is having a pretty easy time of it compared so some of the shit i have heard about over the years that has happened here in NY for example,guys having to leave or get transferred because of homophobic assholes who made their life hell.

 

Luckily i never had that much crap to deal with there was one guy who decided he would be the cheerleader for the faggot-baiting brigade in the precinct i was working in but after i laid him out with one punch he stopped-(surprise surprise !) a fag who fought back who da thunk it .
