Not a bad article. But I think it is wrong in one respect. Children and adolescents have probably always had loose boundaries because they don't have the experience/maturity (that we hope adults have) to know when not to speak. Today it is easier for them to spread the news or gossip over Facebook or Twitter. But how many of us when growing up didn't have the experience of telling someone something in confidence-- and then a few days later discover it or something exaggerated about it and find multiple people talking about it at school a few days later.

 

Another point-- I wonder how often adults-- over the years-- or even possibly now have committed suicide when either 1) outed unexpectantly 2) decided to come out but find family and friends unaccepting, or 3) unjustly outed when actually straight.
