A short audio documentary about 2 gay seniors

The first 20 minutes of this radio show (a compilation of other audio documentary stories) is given over to the story of 2 Australian men, in their 70's, one of whom is in a nursing home and probably unable to remember his husband. It' very nice to hear their story.

 

What struck me most, and what I'd like to hear others' reactions to, was when Brian talks about one of the things that "bonded" them together, that "made them stronger." I found it odd (given my generation) and a little sad, but maybe inevitable.
