Hey Tom,

 

Glad to hear that you'll be visiting Chicago in June. Not the greatest selection of hotels in the Boystown/Lakeview area, mostly smaller boutique hotels. I'd recommend booking a hotel in the Magnificent Mile/Streeterville area, along the N Michigan Ave corridor and mostly north of the Chicago River. I'll be glad to PM some recommendations to you.

The Hawthorne Terrace on Broadway is in Boystown and isn't bad. It's overdue for updating, but it's convenient and clean. Welcome in advance to our lovely city!

Just stayed at the Hawthorn Terrace.most rooms are now updated. Now they need to update the Web site! Highly recomended.

Another choice is the Hotel Majestic, on W. Brompton, which is mostly a residential street and accordingly much quieter than N. Broadway, where the Hawthorne Terrace is located. It's a short walk to Halsted Street. Their web site: http://www.majestic-chicago.com/

I enjoyed my stay at City Suites Hotel. Nice spacious suites right next to the subway and just around the corner from Boystown.

thanks guys!! i've been to chicago many times, and always stayed downtown. this time i'm wanting to try something different. i haven't made a decision, but i appreciate the recommendations!
