Escort Traveling Time?

Okay I am here in Charlotte NC on business and got the "hotel hornies" so I decided to call some of the area escorts.

 

I really, really wanted Devon Hunter but alas he was traveling when I was in his hometown.

 

All of the escorts I called advertised that they did "outcalls" to hotels...I made sure of that fact.

 

The first escort I spoke to was all set but then asked me where I was staying and then he told me he does not go any further than 15 minutes away from where he lives...

 

The second escort told me that I was 25 mintes away from him so he would only do an incall.

 

The third escort told me I was too far away even though when I asked him how long it would take to get here he told me about 20 minutes.

 

Now mind you I asked all three escorts if they have cars and all three said they did.

 

I might be wrong, that is why I am posting this, but it is too much to ask to have an escort travel 15 to 25 minutes to meet up with a client?

 

Maybe the rising price of gas is affecting the time an escort will come to you?

Hell, 15-30 minutes is around the corner in LA. I suspect you're in an area that is undesirable to those whom you contacted. The fact that one of them was willing to have an incall indicates it's probably not you and probably where you were. It could be something as simple as hotel security or you're in an area more strictly enforced, or even the hotel the cops have used for a sting operation...

I definitely don't think 30 minutes is too far to travel for an outcall. I'm surprised you're having so much trouble getting someone to come to you. Being based in Manhattan, I often get requests to go to airport hotels, or even to New Jersey or Long Island and it doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

The biggest fear for an escort with an outcall is they will get there and you won't answer the door. At that time they figure they have wasted time to get there and get home with nothing to show for it. Perhaps that was going through their mind while on the phone.

Thanks for the info....my hotel is a reputable hotel chain and it is in a great neighborhood...called the "university area"..my requested time was 9pm so it wasn't that late...I gave them all of my info, cell phone, room number, hotel number etc..I even called to schedule witgh the choice of the day I called or the following night..so I am beginning to think Charlotte is a bust as far as escorts go...the three I called just seemed as if they could care less about an appointment and if you look over the listings for Charlotte the pickings are slim!!

I would be interested to see what Devon has to say. UNCC, although not downtown certainly isn't that far off the beaten track either. But as I've said on other threads, for some reason, it looks like there are more than a couple really good escorts in Raleigh. Including two simply amazing ones who I will be with in less than 60 hours.

 

And I know both of them tour to Charlotte quite regularly. So that may tell you something. But Devon is the one to give you the best answer on the Charlotte scene.

Forget the others, darling. I'm home after all, and I have driven all the way to Raleigh many times. I'm used to driving from Charlotte to Atlanta and DC, so 30 minutes is barely enough time to get my voice warmed up in the car with the iPod. ;-) My world tour makes stops in the University Area, which is only 15 minutes from my apartment. (It also makes frequent stops to Raleigh/Durham, so you fellas in the region should say hello more often. xoxo)

 

As for the scene here, I'll be utterly frank (as I almost always am): This city is generally full of cheap people with bad attitudes (hence my need to travel so much). Charlotte does not consistently support me (nor anyone else of any quality, I would imagine), and so what you may be running into is a group of escorts who have been burned by no-shows, bad attitudes, underpayments, and other surprises. I don't generally encounter this, because I have a pretty thorough conversation up front in order to clarify the details (it's one of the reasons I never put my phone number in my ads: I force people to invest time and energy into a dialogue). I would clarify a point: After almost 1.5 years of CONSTANT ad placement in Charlotte I have finally accumulated enough support in Charlotte to be able to take a week off each month and still break even, and for that I am grateful (as it gives me a chance to escape from the airport and play with kitty in my man cave for 10 days).

 

At any rate, I don't know who you contacted, since I'm aware of only one or two other active escorts in Charlotte itself, but I would definitely not recommend the local talent. They tend to either be drug addicts or unprofessional straight college dudes. I almost never see a local guy place an ad for more than 2 weeks, and that doesn't make me think they're particularly serious about being available.

I live outside a major metropolitan city where most of my clients are from. I pretty much expect up to a 40 min drive with each client. I also a number of clients who come to my place as well so that does help balance it out a bit. However, I know that since I'm in the suburbs, a 40 min drive, (including finding parking) is something that just goes along with my escorting

Its like an earlier response - I do have quite a thorough conversation BEFORE I commit to any outcall - I won't agree to travel if the guy insists on a witheld number - or won't give a full post code - sorry you guys call them zip codes - been caught out too many times by bogus address.

 

Going back to the original - travel time up to an hour here is not uncommon - well I have done out calls to Belfast - Dublin - NYC ( 10 days a few years back ) and last year travelled over 4 hours to a disabled client in Scunthorpe - for a 4hr booking!

I would think an escort shouldn't charge (or expect) extra $$ for his travel time unless the client's location is over 30-minutes away from the escort's home. That said, I have gladly paid considerably more than his regular rate (almost double) for an Orange County rentboy to drive up to my place in WeHo, because he was going to be on the road well over an hour each way because of traffic, etc. But he is always well worth it!

This is interesting. I'm based in Seattle and travel to both Bellingham (90 minutes) and Portland (3 hours) at least once a week. I do have a multiple hour minimum to make the drive worth it but it works fine for me. If it is an outcall to a hotel I always call and verify the name and room number. I've been pretty lucky that I haven't had any flakes yet. There's a lot of money out there if you're willing to travel and a lot of rural clients willing to spend more for company.

I'm suprised they all said no. Perhaps there is something you are overlooking as to why they all said no. I live in the suburbs near a major city where almost all my clients are located. I pretty much expect at least a 30-45 min drive each time I get a call. There has been times when I've traveled an hr to see a client. To me traveling is just part of escorting.

It might have been the Charlotte traffic, sometime you sit in traffic for hrs ,

also the UNC area is becoming a dangerous area.

They are revitalizing the downtown areas , seems like the bad guys seem to be moving to that area.

I have to say that as an escort, I had a dreadful experience with Charlotte when I had an adventurous hair and traveled up there. I have tons of interest expressed before I made the trip up there from Asheville where I had been staying and working); but by the time I got there, I only had one person still in contact--and even he was trying to badger me down on my rate. I took Charlotte off my travel list after that experience. So I'm sorry you had similar difficulty finding an escort to come to you. Some cities are like that, though. And it seems to be two sides of the same coin...those types of escorts and clients tend to be more plentiful in some areas than in others.

 

But to answer your question directly, I travel up to an hour for an appointment without blinking an eye as long as I have SOME advance notice. I used to travel to Nashville and Birmingham for an hour's appointment (if they could host) and then back home to Huntsville without any issues (minimum 3 hour round trip just in the car). Now that gas prices have begun to climb again, I try to work my itinerary to make such trips a little more worth my while, but if I'm at home with nothing going on, why not?
