A holiday letter? that is something you do?

But, I thought you were a Jew?

Ah the gentiles, so curious about my activities,

why don't you just go enjoy your x-mas festivities.

...

My annual holiday rhyme is distributed every December,

to all those I hold as dear as I would, an actual family member.

We spend all year seeking what we are convinced we crave,

the unstoppable quest for happiness, to which we are each a slave.

Yet too often we forget how easy it is to find bliss,

When you stop to think the people in your life, and simply reminisce.

All the vocations and riches we endless pursue,

can never fill the void of a relationship we fail to accrue.

It was Mother Teresa who once so eloquently said,

“The hunger for love is more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.”

She was not speaking of the love which marriages do make,

It is the simple everyday love for, and from, others we too often forsake.

Whether it is your hunger or another's you choose to nourish,

harvesting more love, will enable lives to flourish.

As for all that other 'stuff' we continue to chase,

there is a simple truth we all must face:

The value of homes and stocks, in addition to a job or credit score,

Might all reach your goals, yet still leave you poor.

It may seem like a daunting task - creating the conditions for love to appear

However, I highly suspect those conditions are already here.

We all know that love cannot be bought,

but little did you know it does not need to be sought.

A journey to find love, is not a mission on which you must deploy,

It is those inner barriers you have to love, which you must seek and destroy!

As we enter 2011 which in many ways is simply just another year,

Make a commitment to creating more love amongst the people who you hold so dear.

Thanks to all who have offered me their friendship this year. I am truly thankful to have you in my life.

Create love--probably the most important idea out there...and the one that somehow is so easy to forget or take for granted. Thanks for the reminder.

I really liked the poem and your sharing with us, Brandon! Blessings to you and all! -:) Axiom2001

Thank you BMW. I know I'm fortunate to have you in my life. And I am thankful for so many of the fabulous members of this forum who have graciously offered me their friendship and guidance and counsel this year. I certainly end 2010 in a very different place than where I started. And I can hardly wait to see what 2011 will hold. And having BMW in it will certainly make it a lot better.
